Job summary

Slingshot Aerospace is seeking a Space Surveillance Systems Technician to sustain the Global Sensor Network from a remote-based role. You will monitor fielded systems, diagnose hardware and software issues, and coordinate with global teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.

You will assist with installations and maintenance across Australia and New Zealand as you gain expertise, with travel up to 25%. Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and Linux familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years in supporting complex systems or a related technical discipline.
Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, computer, and network domains.
Ability to translate remote diagnostics into field conditions.
Excellent written and verbal communication for handoffs.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to ~25%.
Experience with Linux and cloud tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor health and performance of fielded GSN systems and perform remote troubleshooting.
Diagnose hardware, software, networking, electrical, and system-level issues.
Document troubleshooting, status, and next steps for time-zone handoffs.
Escalate complex issues to engineering with clear technical information.
Perform routine maintenance, software/firmware updates, and preventive actions.
Assist with global deployments and field installations.
Maintain inventory records and manage equipment logistics.
Support training materials and knowledge sharing across the global team.
