Job summary

Philtech Inc. is seeking a senior leader to guide retail technology engineering and service operations.

You will align engineering execution, service operations, and strategic technology initiatives with business goals, driving excellence and innovation across store systems and platforms. You will manage multiple engineering teams, oversee budgets and vendor relationships, and lead hiring and development efforts.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and large-scale technology initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with retail technology platforms and enterprise-scale operations preferred.
• AI, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation knowledge strongly preferred.

Job description

Lead the company's retail technology engineering and service operations functions, ensuring the stability, scalability, security, and continuous improvement of store systems and technology platforms. Responsible for aligning engineering execution, service operations, and strategic technology initiatives with business goals while driving operational excellence, innovation, and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead service operations for Retail Customer Solutions.
• Manage engineering teams across multiple technologies and domains, ensuring reliable delivery, supportability, and business alignment.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI-driven performance, service reliability, incident reduction, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee project execution, budgets, resource planning, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead hiring, succession planning, performance management, coaching, and employee development.
• Partner closely with US IT Directors, Business Services Managers, SREs, and business stakeholders.

Technical Leadership & AI Capabilities

• Establish technology roadmaps and engineering standards across the organization.
• Drive adoption of AI, Generative AI, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and machine learning capabilities to improve operational efficiency and store associate experiences.
• Preferred knowledge of AI-powered observability, incident management, code generation, business analytics, digital assistants, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that create measurable business value.

Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrates deep expertise in retail technology, software engineering, service operations, ITIL practices, cloud technologies, systems integration, and enterprise application support. Possesses strong knowledge of retail business processes. Serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing thought leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance.

Job Complexity

Leads complex initiatives with broad organizational impact, balancing technical, operational, financial, and business considerations. Exercises independent judgment on strategic decisions and manages competing priorities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
