Qualifications

• Graduate of Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related technical course.
• 1–2 years SMT operations and equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SMT production processes, PCB assembly, and electronic components.
• Familiarity with SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT machines, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens
• Perform machine changeovers, feeder setup, and program verification based on production schedules
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and calibration of SMT equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine and process-related issues to minimize production downtime
• Monitor production output and ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
• Inspect and verify machine performance, component placement, solder quality, and process parameters
• Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and production activities

About the role

The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SMT production equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position supports production requirements by maintaining machine performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities
