Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking an experienced SMT Process Engineer to optimize and support high-volume electronics manufacturing in the Laguna region. You will develop, implement, and improve SMT processes, monitor OEE and FPY, and lead line readiness for new products, collaborating with maintenance and quality teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with solder paste printing, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, AOI, and a data-driven approach to reduce defects and costs while sustaining quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated SMT equipment preferably Fuji/Koh Young/Viscom or equivalent.
• Experience supporting automotive/high-reliability electronics manufacturing environments.
• 3-5 years SMT manufacturing operations in high-volume electronics environment.
• Hands-on SMT processes and equipment including printing, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI, and process controls.
• Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and defect reduction.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve SMT manufacturing processes to achieve quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Optimize SMT process parameters including solder paste printing, SPI, pick-and-place placement, reflow soldering, and AOI inspection.
• Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), First Pass Yield (FPY), process capability, and throughput.
• Conduct process validation, machine qualification, and line readiness activities for new product introductions.
• Provide technical support for SMT production lines and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot process, machine, and quality-related issues to minimize downtime and production losses.
• Support and optimize equipment such as:

Qualifications

• Experience with automated SMT equipment preferably Fuji machine, Koh Young SPI, Viscom AOI, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience supporting automotive, industrial, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing operations in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with SMT processes and equipment, including solder paste printing, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and related process controls.
• Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and defect reduction within SMT production lines. Strong knowledge of quality and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, 7 QC Tools, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Experience in new product launch, line setup, process validation, machine qualification, and process documentation.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, OEE improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve productivity (OEE), first-pass yield (FPY), and overall process capability.
