About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SMT Technician to join our dynamic team at P S T P EMS inc. in General Trias City, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, specifically in surface mount technology production. As an SMT Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting surface mount technology equipment to ensure the highest quality production standards. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering precision-engineered components and maintaining our competitive edge in the electronics manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring surface mount technology (SMT) placement and soldering equipment to produce circuit boards and electronic components according to specifications
• Performing routine maintenance and preventive care on SMT machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve technical issues promptly
• Inspecting and testing finished products to verify quality standards and compliance with design specifications
• Setting up production runs, including loading component feeders, configuring machine parameters, and verifying production programs
• Monitoring production output and maintaining accurate records of production data and equipment performance
• Identifying process improvements and reporting suggestions to enhance efficiency and reduce defects
• Adhering to safety protocols, workplace standards, and environmental regulations at all times
• Collaborating with production planning and quality assurance teams to meet production schedules and quality objectives

What we’re looking for

• Technical qualification or certification in electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related field
• Proven experience operating surface mount technology equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit boards, and soldering processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, production specifications, and equipment manuals
• Proficiency in basic troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
