POSITION: Production Engineer

SECTION/GROUP: BEA/Production

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for supervising and managing subordinates involved in one or more of the product lines, such as assembly, testing, inspection, and repair. Ensures product lines are ready to respond to production requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervises and manages subordinates and their activities to measure performance based on standards, behavior, and disciplines to respond to production requirements.

• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Knowledge of production processes, standards, and requirements
• Knowledge and implementation of company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of subordinates’ performance, behavior, and skills status
• Knowledge of the competency requirements of subordinates
• Conduct of employee communication/discussion of performance infractions and other matters

2. Implements the production schedule, monitors, and regulates production input and output to meet shipment schedules. Makes the necessary adjustments.

3. Ensures that maximum productivity from materials and equipment is met; keep to a minimum level of wastage of materials, man-hours, and power consumption.

• Knowledge of performance standards of men and equipment

4. Supports the Process Engineer in the conduct of line evaluation and computation of material consumption.

6. Checks and approves required reports from subordinates. Prepares and submits regular reports and other reports to the immediate superior.

7. Coordinates with own work unit and other work units on specific work/production requirements.
