Job summary

ECLOF Philippines Microfinance, Inc. is seeking an Account Officer to manage and grow its SME loan portfolio. The role includes client acquisition, loan evaluation and processing, monitoring, collections, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The candidate will conduct market assessments, evaluate applications, and prepare loan approvals while ensuring excellent service and accurate record-keeping for continued portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in marketing financial products, lending, or microfinance operations preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of credit evaluation, loan processing and collection is an advantage.
• Creative, results-oriented and able to build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Achieve targets for client generation, loan portfolio growth, and portfolio quality.
• Conduct market assessment and identify potential SME clients.
• Evaluate loan applications, including credit, background, business, financial, and cash flow analysis.
• Process loan applications, documentation, and disbursement.
• Monitor loan utilization, repayments, and portfolio quality.
• Handle collections, delinquent accounts, and account resolutions.
• Conduct client and collateral/property investigations and appraisals.
• Prepare and present loan applications for approval.
• Maintain accurate client and collateral records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
• Prepare necessary reports and perform other related duties.
