Job summary

Shopee is seeking a highly driven Business Development Executive in Manila to grow the SMB merchant portfolio for the food delivery business. You will identify, onboard and manage partnerships, negotiate contracts, and drive growth through campaigns and assortment expansion.

You will collaborate with operations, marketing and product teams, monitor performance, analyze trends, and pursue acquisition, retention and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• 1–4 years in business development, sales, account management or merchant operations.
• Experience in food delivery, e-commerce, FMCG, or local services is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management.
• Self-driven, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL is a plus.
• Willing to do fieldwork and engage directly with merchants.

Responsibilities

• Identify, acquire, and onboard new SMB merchants to the platform
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant partners
• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including contract negotiation and operational setup
• Drive merchant growth through campaign participation, assortment expansion, and operational improvements
• Monitor merchant performance and provide recommendations to improve sales and customer experience
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and product teams to support merchant success
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and merchant feedback to identify business opportunities
• Achieve acquisition, retention, and growth targets set by the company
