Job summary

Shopee, a leading Southeast Asia e-commerce platform, is seeking a Business Development Executive in Manila to grow the SMB merchant portfolio, onboarding new partners and driving growth for existing accounts. You will identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, manage onboarding, and work with operations, marketing and product teams to support merchant success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
• 1–4 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or merchant operations.
• Experience in food delivery, e-commerce, FMCG, or local services platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, acquire, and onboard new SMB merchants to the platform.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant partners.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding, including contract negotiation and setup.
• Drive merchant growth through campaign participation, assortment expansion, and operational improvements.
• Monitor merchant performance and provide recommendations to improve sales and customer experience.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and product teams to support merchant success.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and merchant feedback to identify business opportunities.
• Achieve acquisition, retention, and growth targets set by the company.
