Job summary

BALIL REY Construction in Manila seeks a licensed Civil Engineer to act as the main technical adviser on the construction site. You will check drawings and quantities, liaise with consultants and the workforce, and ensure materials and work meet specifications.

You will supervise site labor, plan workflows, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and engineers. The role includes daily reporting, safety oversight, and ensuring timely progress.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer with active registration.
• 2+ years of construction industry experience.

About the role

Acts as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives. Checks plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations. Ensures that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications. Agrees a price for materials and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project. Serves as a liaison with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planner, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.

Key responsibilities

• Manages the site daily including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors




• Plans the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines




• Communicates with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress




• Resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise




• Analyzing the project plan and drawing to ensure the construction meet design




• Overseas quality control and health and safety matters on site




• Submit daily accomplishment report and manpower attendance

About you

• Must be licensed Civil Engineer




• At least 2 years experience in construction company




• Broad general understanding to documents handled being process




• Working knowledge and handle construction tool and equipment




• Knowledgeable in building codes
