Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Landside Specialist (Spanish Speaker) in Pasig City to manage end-to-end dispatch operations across truck, rail, and barge networks. You will coordinate with customers, carriers, and terminal operators to ensure timely delivery and resolve operational issues.

The role requires 6–8 years in shipping, fluent Spanish and English, and willingness to work onsite with a full night shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate, ideally Finance and Accounting.
• Should be able to speak and write Spanish and English.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in shipping industry.
• (Better if from landside process)
• Experience in Customer Service, BPO, and other industries can also be considered.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Pasig City; Full night shift schedule.
• Technical Skills: MS Office tools, SAP BI applications/tools, programs or systems colleague would be responsible for operating, any other assisting software.
• Focus on productivity, quality, WFO adherence, SLA compliance, and Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee exception management activities such as vendor dispute resolution, charge approvals, and addressing operational issues that disrupt the standard process flow.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing solutions to eliminate recurring disruptions and enhance process efficiency.
• Coordinate end-to-end container dispatch operations across truck, rail, and barge networks, ensuring timely execution and service delivery.
• Manage daily interactions with customers, carriers, terminal operators, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and exceptions.
• Monitor shipment and container movements, proactively identifying risks and driving timely corrective actions.
• Ensure achievement of customer service commitments through effective planning, communication, and exception management.
• Deliver a customer-centric experience by addressing inquiries, managing expectations and contributing to positive NPS outcomes.

This position is responsible for managing end-to-end dispatch operations, including shipment planning, carrier assignment, container movement monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery to customer locations. In addition to dispatch execution, the role oversees exception management activities such as vendor dispute resolution, charge approvals, and addressing operational issues that disrupt the standard process flow. The position also drives continuous improvement by identifying and implementing solutions to eliminate recurring disruptions and enhance overall process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Should be a POC for the team and act as a backup to the team leader.
• Ability to identify wastages in the process, streamline and drive continuous improvements.
• Coordinate end-to-end container dispatch operations across truck, rail, and barge networks, ensuring timely execution and service delivery.
• Manage daily interactions with customers, carriers, terminal operators, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and exceptions.
• Monitor shipment and container movements, proactively identifying risks and driving timely corrective actions.
• Ensure achievement of customer service commitments through effective planning, communication, and exception management.
• Deliver a customer-centric experience by addressing inquiries, managing expectations and contributing to positive NPS outcomes.
• Maintain accurate operational records, system updates, and documentation to ensure visibility, compliance and process integrity.
• Oversee accessorial costs, equipment utilization, container idling and related approvals to drive operational efficiency.
• Foster strong stakeholder partnerships, support cross-functional team objectives, and contribute to continuous process and vendor performance improvement.
