Job summary

Maersk Global Service Centres Philippines Limited in Pasig is seeking a Spanish Carrier Operations Senior Specialist to manage end-to-end dispatch, carrier assignment, and monitor container movements to ensure timely delivery to customer locations.

You will oversee exception management, work across truck, rail, and barge networks, and drive continuous process improvements while coordinating with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Graduate, ideally Finance and Accounting.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• 6-8 years in shipping; finance and customer service experience considered.
• Willing to work onsite in Pasig City; full night shift.

Responsibilities

• Be POC for the team and backup to team leader.
• Identify wastages and drive continuous improvements.
• Coordinate end-to-end container dispatch across truck, rail, and barge networks.
• Interact daily with customers, carriers, terminal operators, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Monitor shipments and container movements; identify risks and take corrective actions.
• Meet customer service commitments through planning, communication, and exception management.
• Deliver a customer-centric experience; address inquiries and manage expectations; contribute to positive NPS.
• Maintain operational records and documentation for visibility and compliance.
• Oversee accessorial costs, equipment utilization, container idling, and related approvals.
• Foster stakeholder partnerships and support cross-functional goals and vendor performance improvements.

Spanish Single Carrier Operations Senior Specialist - LAM

This position is responsible for managing end-to-end dispatch operations, including shipment planning, carrier assignment, container movement monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery to customer locations. In addition to dispatch execution, the role oversees exception management activities such as vendor dispute resolution, charge approvals, and addressing operational issues that disrupt the standard process flow. The position also drives continuous improvement by identifying and implementing solutions to eliminate recurring disruptions and enhance overall process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Should be a POC for the team and act as a backup to the team leader
• Ability to identify wastages in the process, streamline and drive continuous improvements
• Coordinate end-to-end container dispatch operations across truck, rail, and barge networks, ensuring timely execution and service delivery.
• Manage daily interactions with customers, carriers, terminal operators, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and exceptions.
• Monitor shipment and container movements, proactively identifying risks and driving timely corrective actions.
• Ensure achievement of customer service commitments through effective planning, communication, and exception management.
• Deliver a customer-centric experience by addressing inquiries, managing expectations, and contributing to positive NPS outcomes.
• Maintain accurate operational records, system updates, and documentation to ensure visibility, compliance, and process integrity.
• Oversee accessorial costs, equipment utilization, container idling, and related approvals to drive operational efficiency.
• Foster strong stakeholder partnerships, support cross-functional team objectives, and contribute to continuous process and vendor performance improvement.

Qualifications:

• Graduate, ideally Finance and Accounting
• Should be able to speak and write Spanish and English
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in shipping industry.(Better if from landside process) Solid experience in Finance, Customer Service, BPO, and other industries can also be considered
• Must be willing to work onsite in Pasig City; Full night shift schedule
• Technical Skills: MS Office tools, SAP BI applications/tools, programs or systems colleague wouldbe responsible foroperating, any other assisting software.
• Focus on productivity, quality, WFO adherence, SLA compliance, and Kaizen.
