Job summary

Atlantic Grains Inc. is seeking a qualified Shift Mechanic to perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute job orders to keep plant equipment available and reliable.

You will also be responsible for maintaining mechanical tools, preparing spare parts requests, and ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety and food safety standards in a manufacturing environment. The role requires willingness to work on a shifting schedule in Laguna, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a four-year degree in Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, welding and fabrication is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring and accomplish the Predictive Maintenance Checklist.
• Execute assigned Job Orders (JO) and Work Orders (WO) via the PMS and update reports.
• Prepare and inspect materials and spare parts for job orders.
• Create spare parts requests through the Spare Parts Inventory Management System.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine parts needing replacement.
• Perform mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication and related maintenance.
• Ensure equipment availability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of mechanical tools and report missing/damaged tools.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and properly maintained.
• Comply with Good Hygiene Practices, safety regulations and company policies.

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and dependable Shift Mechanic to perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute job orders and work orders to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficient operation of plant equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining mechanical tools, preparing spare parts requests, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring and accomplish the Predictive Maintenance Checklist
• Execute assigned Job Orders (JO) and Work Orders (WO), including updating and submitting maintenance reports through the E-System, such as the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS)
• Prepare and inspect the required materials and spare parts for job orders
• Create spare parts requests through the Spare Parts Inventory Management System
• Diagnose mechanical problems and equipment failures, identify necessary repairs, and determine parts requiring replacement
• Perform mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, and other related maintenance activities
• Ensure equipment availability through timely preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Maintain an accurate inventory of mechanical tools and immediately report missing or damaged tools to the immediate supervisor
• Keep the work area and tools clean, organized, and properly maintained
• Comply with Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), workplace safety regulations, and company policies

About you

• Graduate of a four-year course in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication is an advantage
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of following maintenance procedures and safety standards
• Willing to work in a plant or manufacturing environment
• Preferred: Relevant training certificates or seminars in Plant Maintenance NC I, Water Supply Systems and Plumbing, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, Automation and Control Systems, or Machine Operation and Maintenance
