Job summary

Sunpride Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Mechanic for our Meat Processing Plant in the Technical Division. You will install, repair, and perform daily preventive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems to minimize downtime and keep the production line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanic, or relevant Vocational Courses.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience as a machine mechanic in a heavy manufacturing industry.
• Certifications: Plant Maintenance NC II certification required.
• Key Skills: Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and replace various mechanical parts (including bearings), as well as upgrade mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance Execution (30%): daily preventive check-ups, testing, and scheduled repairs on production machinery per the MPP maintenance plan; log downtimes and report deficiencies.
• Work Orders & Repair Execution (35%): execute daily repairs, perform initial analyses, submit CARs for downtimes, and keep work order summaries ready for audits.
• Safety Protocol Execution (25%): daily line checks on interlocks, submit Machine Safety Checklists, verify guards, report missing safety devices.
• General Support (10%): assist with additional technical tasks and area improvements as needed by the team lead.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Mechanic to join our Technical Division. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and daily preventive maintenance of a wide range of mechanical systems, equipment, and components within our Meat Processing Plant (MPP). You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime, ensuring workplace safety, and keeping our production line running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance Execution (30%): Conduct daily preventive check-ups, routine testing, and scheduled repairs on production machinery according to the MPP maintenance plan. Submit daily checklists, log machine downtimes, and report quick-fix deficiencies.
• Work Orders & Repair Execution (35%): Execute daily priority repairs, perform initial machine analyses, and submit Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for operational downtimes. Keep work order summaries updated and ensure machinery is compliant and fully prepared for government, supplier, and ISO audits.
• Safety Protocol Execution (25%): Perform daily line checks on machinery safety interlocking devices, submit Machine Safety Checklists, and verify that machine operators keep safety guards intact. Promptly report any lacking safety devices for immediate correction.
• General Support (10%): Perform additional technical tasks and support special projects or area improvements as assigned by the team lead.
