About the role
The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles, ensuring that all work is completed following manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and dealership policies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks based on the assigned Job Order (JO) / Repair Order (RO)
- Strictly follow SPH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for vehicle servicing and repairs
- Ensure all repair work meets roadworthiness, safety, and performance standards before vehicle release
- Conduct test drives when necessary to verify repairs and overall vehicle performance
- Always wear mandatory PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves, aprons, fender covers, and safety goggles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S/6S principles
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of personal and dealership tools
- Return all requested special tools after use and conduct regular inventory of basic tools
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Leadmen, and Supervisors regarding repair progress or additional work needed
- Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a clean and presentable condition after servicing
About you
- Graduate of Automotive Technology or a vocational course with NC1 and NC2 Certificate from TESDA relative to the Job Function
- Valid driver’s license
- Participate in manufacturer-mandated (SPH) and in-house training programs for technical and non-technical skills
- Stay updated on new vehicle technologies, technical updates, and repair policies
- Be aware of the operational/environmental/occupational risk identification procedures and assessments to be followed, to prevent injuries and/or damage to client property and equipment
- Report risks relating to work/tasks or within the work environment to management and follow up, by escalating, if identified risk not addressed in agreed time frame
