Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced Tax & Accounting Support Specialist (CPA/EA preferred) to deliver specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role requires strong accounting judgment, excellent English communication, and the ability to investigate and resolve escalated issues independently.

The candidate will cover US business hours, with staggered schedules and overlap with US ET.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Proficient in bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Able to handle complex tax and accounting inquiries for customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing status questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings via Zendesk, email-style tickets, and scheduled phone support.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and help improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems as the client transitions from Zendesk.
