Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced US Tax Accountant (CPA/EA preferred) to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role requires genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

You'll handle escalated tickets, review reconciliations, and assist customers with tax notices, filing status questions, and payroll concerns, using Zendesk, email, and phone support.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with US accounting/tax preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax inquiries and customer-facing support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Comfortable in fast-paced tech environment and learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax notices, filing status questions, and tax return questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Learn and adapt to proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
