Job summary

First Focus, an Australia-based MSP with a Manila team, seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to support US clients across Microsoft environments, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure. The role involves ownership of complex escalations, collaboration with Solution Architects, and ongoing professional growth.

The position offers hybrid work, on-call rotation every three months, and a pathway to build expertise in modern Microsoft technologies while mentoring peers across diverse client

Qualifications

• Around 5–7 years of Systems Engineering experience, preferably in an MSP.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Excellent networking knowledge (firewalls, DNS, VPNs).
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with backup technologies such as Veeam or Datto.
• Mentoring others and sharing technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication with a customer-first mindset.
• Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102 or similar) are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud and networking issues across multiple client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure platforms.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure.
• Support enterprise networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs and DNS.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.
• Develop PowerShell automation and improve operational efficiency.
• Mentor Systems Administrators and serve as senior escalation point.
• Create technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge base articles.
