Job summary

ECLARO is seeking a Senior Specialty Commercial Property Underwriter in the Philippines. You will own risk selection, pricing, coverage terms, and portfolio performance for complex property risks, collaborating with brokers and internal teams.

You will evaluate COPE, valuations, and risk data, while mentoring junior underwriters and contributing to guidelines with a focus on ISO/AAIS forms and modern risk assessment tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial property underwriting experience in MGA/wholesale environments.
• Independently price, quote, and bind commercial property risks.
• Strong knowledge of COPE, property valuation, risk assessment, and coverage structures.
• Familiarity with ISO and AAIS commercial property forms.
• Experience with underwriting platforms, rating systems, and policy administration systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and broker communication skills.
• Experience with older, historic, or complex properties is a plus.
• CPCU, ARM, AU designations are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal property risks from submission to renewal.
• Evaluate COPE, loss history, valuations, inspections, and risk data.
• Determine pricing, deductibles, limits, coverage terms, and exclusions.
• Manage broker relationships, underwriting negotiations, and endorsements.
• Review ISO, AAIS, and manuscript property forms.
• Utilize underwriting platforms, geospatial data, and AI risk tools.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk concentrations.
• Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to guidelines.
