Job summary

CHAMP Cargosystems Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the innovation team in Manila. You will translate designs into scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs while collaborating with frontend teams in Angular.

The role reports to an engineering manager and requires strongDevOps practices, Linux deployment, and experience with AWS or private data centers. English proficiency is essential for cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Equivalent.
• Must have 5 years of experience in Java & object-oriented programming.
• Understanding the following framework or technology is a plus: Spring Boot, REST API, Angular.
• Experienced in using the following tools – Git, SVN, Maven, or similar.
• Experience in SCRUM practices is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions is a plus.
• Good command of the English language is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform program coding, code review, unit testing, and technical support.
• Support and guide junior developers.
• Collaborate with other software engineers on assigned tasks.
• Translate design and functional specifications into code; enforce standards.
• Champion good code quality for reliable, performant solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions on project updates and issues.
• Produce clean and efficient code based on specifications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
• Participate in unit tests and assist during system implementation.
