Job summary

CHAMP Cargosystems S.A. is seeking a Senior Lead Developer to drive technical direction for CHAMP integrated solutions. The role requires strong Java expertise, leadership, and a clear understanding of enterprise patterns.

You will work with PMs, BAs, and engineers to deliver high-quality software while mentoring teams and aligning with DevOps practices. Based in the Philippines, the position emphasizes ensuring standards, guiding growth, and translating designs into robust code within CHAMP’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/CE or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of Java development experience.
• At least 3 years in a Lead Developer/Technical Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of Java best practices, design patterns and REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring Boot, JPA, XML, and related frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Understand CHAMP products and domain thoroughly.
• Collaborate with project managers, BA, analysts, and other engineers.
• Provide technical oversight and leadership to the development teams.
• Manage engineers and ensure adherence to software standards.
• Oversee skills development and career growth of team members.
• Partner with Scrum Master and Product Owner for delivery oversight.
• Perform roles such as analyst/designer, coder, tester, and support as needed.
• Translate design specs into code and follow the company methodology.
• Participate in business and technical project discussions.
• Execute unit tests and assist in project documentation.
• Assist in planning, migration activities, and documentation.
• Provide on-site or off-site production support as required.
• Record progress and issues in status reports.
