Job summary

CHAMP Cargosystems in the Philippines is seeking a MID Software Engineer to join the innovation team. You will work on Java-based backend services, AI/LLM-powered document processing, and modern frontends with Angular, in a Scrum environment.

You will translate designs into reliable, scalable code, collaborate with product owners and QA, and may travel for short deployments. A Bachelor's in IT/CS/CE and 3 years of Java with SQL are required; containerization and Python are pluses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in Java & object-oriented programming with SQL skills.
• Coding: Design patterns.
• Experience in SCRUM practices is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in Python is a plus.
• Experience in AI and LLMs is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in design patterns is a plus.
• Good command of English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Translate design specifications into program codes; enforce the Company’s software engineering methodology and standards.
• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
• Collaborate with product owners, Bas and QAs during development.
• Possibly travel abroad for deployments to Luxembourg, London, Singapore, etc.
