Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from existing and potential customers.
• Source steel products by coordinating with Japan HQ and overseas suppliers.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close deals.
• Manage end-to-end trade execution, including L/C processing.
• Production and shipment monitoring; coordinate with banks, shipping agents, and port authorities.
• Ensure timely delivery and payment completion.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow client base.
• Supervise and support two sales staff.

Job Description

Responsible for managing the full steel trading process—from handling customer inquiries and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring smooth delivery and payment. The role also includes leading a small sales team and driving new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from existing and potential customers
• Source steel products by coordinating with Japan HQ and overseas suppliers
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close deals
• Manage end-to-end trade execution, including:
• L/C processing
• Production and shipment monitoring
• Coordinate with banks, shipping agents, and port authorities
• Ensure timely delivery and payment completion
• Identify new business opportunities and grow client base
• Supervise and support two (2) sales staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
• At least 3–5 years experience in steel trading or related industry
• Strong knowledge of:
• Steel products and distribution
• Import/export processes
• Shipping and logistics
• Letter of Credit (L/C) transactions
• Experience working with international suppliers is an advantage
