Job summary

SMEC, a leading engineering consultancy, seeks a Project Controls professional to plan, schedule and monitor complex projects in the Philippines. You will coordinate with engineers, contracts, and finance to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and risk mitigation across EPC initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in project controls, strong skills in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and solid knowledge of contracts and TOR. A focus on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, finance or related field.
• At least 5+ years of project controls experience in engineering, construction or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost control, EVM and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Create and update WBS, milestones and deliverables aligned with TOR.
• Measure progress with KPIs and dashboards, reporting weekly/monthly.
• Identify and manage variations, change orders and cost/schedule impacts.
• Review contracts and TOR to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Maintain risk registers and perform quantitative/qualitative risk analysis.
• Support claims, EOT, and dispute resolution with data-driven evidence.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, audits, and stakeholder records.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, contract teams and finance in reviews.
