Job summary

SMEC, part of Surbana Jurong, seeks a seasoned Project Controls professional to join our global engineering team. You will develop schedules, manage risk, and support contracts across large infrastructure projects, coordinating with PMs, engineers and finance.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in project controls, and strong skills in Primavera P6, MS Project and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in project controls within engineering, construction, or EPC projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of contract law and project delivery frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project; establish WBS, milestones and deliverables.
• Measure progress, prepare weekly/monthly reports, dashboards and KPIs.
• Identify schedule delays, cost overruns and performance trends.
• Identify, track and manage variations; prepare cost and schedule impact analyses.
• Review contracts, TOR and technical specs; monitor compliance and support contract administration.
• Maintain risk registers; conduct risk analyses and mitigation planning.
• Support in claims and change management; provide data for EOT claims.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Contract Teams and Finance.
