Job summary

SM Development Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager - Safety to lead and oversee Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) compliance and program implementation. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs to prevent incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive OSH knowledge, and experience in safety audits, incident investigations, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Occupational Safety and Health management.
• DOLE Certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with RA 11058, OSH Standards, and government regulations.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and control (HIRAC) activities.
• Investigate incidents and prepare incident reports with corrective action plans.
• Provide safety training and conduct safety orientations for employees and contractors.
• Conduct regular safety audits and maintain safety KPI reports.
