Job summary

SM Development Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager - Safety to lead OSH compliance and program implementation across projects in the Philippines. This role develops, implements, and monitors health, safety, and environmental programs to prevent incidents and promote a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include drafting HSE policies, ensuring RA 11058 compliance, preparing reports, coordinating with DOLE, conducting risk assessments, investigations, trainings, audits, and driving

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health management.
• Experience implementing OSH Management Systems and regulatory compliance programs.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure RA 11058 and OSH standards compliance.
• Prepare and submit required safety reports.
• Liaise with government agencies during inspections and investigations.
• Perform duties of a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer.
• Conduct hazard identifications, risk assessments, and controls (HIRAC).
• Lead periodic reviews of critical process risk assessments.
• Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor site safety compliance and KPI reporting.
• Conduct safety orientations and trainings for employees and contractors.
• Represent the company in safety meetings and industry organizations.
• Drive continuous improvement of the safety management system.
