Job summary

San Miguel Foods is seeking a Safety and Environment Compliance Officer to lead the company’s Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental and Sustainability programs across all sites. The role requires driving full compliance with local and global regulations and continuous program enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide OSH, Environmental and Sustainability programs to ensure full compliance with regulations.
• Represent SMF in the SMC Safety Council and conduct regional plant inspections and audits.
• Deliver EHS activities including emergency response plans, incident management, training, and evacuation drills.
• Transform raw EHS metrics into automated dashboards to provide leadership with actionable insights.
• Travel locally and regionally up to 40%.

Job description

Qualifications for Safety and Environment Compliance Officer Position:

• With at least five years of relevant experience in handling Environment, Health and Safety program implementation and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering or Environment-Related Courses
• At least Safety Officer 3 or DOLE-Accredited OSH Practitioner
• Has been a DENR/LLDA-Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO)

Responsibilities are:

• Will be designated as corporate safety officer and pollution control officer and will lead the SMF-wide implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the company’s Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental and Sustainability programs, ensuring full compliance of company procedures and activities with local, global, and government regulations.
• Will represent SMF in the SMC Safety Council and will conduct regional plant inspections and audits
• Deliver environmental health and safety activities, including emergency response plan, incident and accident management, training implementation and evacuation drill.
• Handle environmental health and safety related records and reporting and is able to transform raw EHS metrics into automated, high-level dashboards to provide leadership with actionable insights and trend analysis
• Ability to travel locally and regionally as required. Will travel at least 40% of the time.
