Job summary
Bharti Airtel is hiring an experienced Network TAC2 Engineer to deliver advanced technical support for enterprise networking. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues and configuring Cisco devices to ensure high availability across the network.
The position requires working in a 24×7 shift-based model, collaborating with TAC1, NOC, and engineering teams to resolve incidents and improve stability. Strong knowledge of BGP/OSP
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Electrical or related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in network support/TAC roles, ISP/ telecom exposure preferred.
- Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for network incidents escalated from TAC1.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco routers and switches in production.
- Design and implement high-availability solutions using HSRP and failover mechanisms.
- Configure and manage AAA for secure network access control.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize BGP routing for WAN connectivity and multi-site environments.
- Plan and execute Cisco IOS upgrades, including rollback planning and change management.
- Perform RCA for recurring or critical incidents and apply permanent fixes.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with TAC1, NOC, and engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve stability.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident response and resolution.
- Work in a 24×7 rotational shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
