Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Global Solutions (Philippines) is seeking an Operations Engineer to maintain and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Hybrid and SharePoint Hybrid environments. You will handle escalations from Level 2, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to automation and process improvements.

The role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-account environment with some after-hours work and on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years with Microsoft 365, Exchange (on-premises/hybrid), and SharePoint (on-premises/hybrid).
• Experience with incident management and escalation processes.
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service mindset and focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Hybrid and SharePoint Hybrid environments.
• Resolve escalations from Level 2 support teams with timely resolution of complex issues.
• Perform regular maintenance, monitoring, and administration of Microsoft 365 and on-premises systems.
• Participate in patching, upgrades, and capacity planning for a secure environment.
• Follow and contribute to operational best practices and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using PowerShell.
• Assist in reporting KPIs for service delivery and health.
• Support system migrations and integration projects as needed.
• Provide technical leadership during incidents and post-incident reviews.
