SM Development Corporation in Metro Manila Pasay seeks a Senior Geodetic Engineer to lead land surveying, layout, and development surveys for multiple projects. You will oversee reconnaissance, layout, and verification of road networks, boundaries, utilities, and housing units in line with masterplans.
The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering, a Licensed Geodetic Engineer, and at least 10 years in surveying with 5 years in management.
Leads and oversees reconnaissance, relocation, topographic, parcellary, and as-built surveys for land acquisition and project development.
Reviews and approves survey plans, technical reports, computations, and survey outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Directs the layout and verification of road networks, property boundaries, utilities, facilities, and housing units in accordance with approved masterplans and development plans.
Oversees the layout of Meralco pole locations, drainage systems, utilities, and other project infrastructure requirements.
Supervises the layout of boreholes, test pits, and other geotechnical investigation points required for project planning and engineering studies.
Provides technical recommendations regarding land development, site conditions, boundary issues, and survey-related concerns.
Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, utility providers, and project management teams.
Ensures compliance with DENR, LRA, LGU, and other regulatory requirements related to surveying and land development activities.
Manages survey schedules, manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and budget requirements to support multiple projects.
Reviews and evaluates project risks, survey challenges, and technical issues, and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
Leads, mentors, and develops survey personnel to improve technical competencies, productivity, and professional growth.
Evaluates emerging survey technologies, software, equipment, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Monitors project progress and submits regular reports, analyses, and updates to management.
Ensures proper maintenance, calibration, and utilization of survey instruments and equipment.
Performs other duties, special assignments, and strategic initiatives as may be assigned by management.
Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering from a reputable college or university.
Must be a Licensed Geodetic Engineer.
Must have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in surveying, land development, real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects.
Must have at least 5 years of managerial experience leading survey operations and technical teams.
Extensive knowledge of land surveying principles, geodetic engineering practices, and land development processes.
Proficient in the use of survey instruments such as Total Station, GNSS/GPS equipment, Digital Levels, Drones/UAVs, and related technologies.
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS applications, and other survey-related software.
Strong leadership, project management, and people management skills.
