Job summary

Joy~Nostalg Group is seeking a Geodetic Engineer to manage the Surveying Department's processes and operations, reviewing survey data for accuracy and preparing Verified Survey Returns (VSR) for submission to government agencies.

You will supervise outsourced geodetic engineers, coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams, and ensure compliance with surveying laws and regulations across multiple project sites in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geodetic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant surveying experience in land development or housing construction.
• Experience in preparing and filing Verified Survey Returns (VSR).
• Training in Land Surveying Laws and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct surveying work by outsourced geodetic engineers to establish legal property boundaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align survey activities with project requirements.
• Review and verify accuracy and completeness of survey data and calculations from consultants.
• Validate control points, benchmarks, and survey methodologies for design and construction use.
• Provide technical consultation on boundary verification, lot consolidation, and subdivision matters.

About the role

The Geodetic Engineer shall manage the processes and operations of the Surveying Department. The role involves reviewing correctness and reasonability of survey data prepared by outsourced Surveying consultants, and processing, preparing and compiling Verified Survey Returns (VSR) of individual lots for submission to concerned government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and direct surveying work performed by outsourced geodetic engineers to establish legal property boundaries based on approved titles, deeds, and technical descriptions

• Coordinate with internal project teams to align survey activities with engineering, design, and construction requirements

• Review and verify the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of survey data, measurements, and computations submitted by survey consultants

• Validate control points, benchmarks, and survey methodologies to ensure reliability of data for engineering design and construction use

• Provide technical consultation to the Legal Management Group, Land Acquisition Team, and other business units on boundary verification, lot consolidation, and subdivision matters

• Support resolution of survey-related issues affecting land titling, permitting, and development planning

• Compile, process, and submit Verified Survey Returns (VSR) and other required geodetic documents to concerned government agencies

• Coordinate with regulatory offices to ensure compliance with applicable surveying laws, rules, and standards

• Maintain and update a centralized database of geodetic surveys, plans, technical descriptions, and related records

• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in survey data and recommend corrective actions or re-surveys when necessary

About you

• Graduate of Geodetic Engineering

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in surveying, consolidation survey, subdivision survey, topographic survey particularly in land development and housing construction

• Experienced in the preparation and filing of VSR (verified survey return)

• Training in Land Surveying Laws and Regulations

• Training in VSR Preparation and DENR/LRA Processes

• Training in Subdivision and Consolidation Surveys

• Training in AutoCAD and Geodetic Survey Software

• Licensed Geodetic Engineer

• Open to travel to conduct project site visits regularly to different project site assignments
