A. Regular Duties
1. Survey Operations
1.1
- Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks throughout the project.
- Ensure that all Ground Control Points (GCPs) are regularly checked and monitored to maintain survey accuracy.
- Verify all existing control points before any staking or layout work is carried out.
- Conduct topographic, relocation, boundary, and verification surveys as required by the project.
- Perform stakeout surveys for roads, drainage systems, utilities, buildings, and other site developments based on approved plans.
- Provide line and elevation references for all construction activities to ensure that works are executed in accordance with the approved plans and design levels.
- Establish, transfer, and verify elevations across the project site for grading, roadworks, drainage, utilities, and structural works.
- Conduct pre-earthworks and post-earthworks surveys to establish existing and finished ground elevations.
- Set out finished grades and monitor excavation and embankment works to ensure compliance with the approved grading plan.
- Perform cut-and-fill surveys, compute earthwork quantities, and verify excavation and fill volumes for project monitoring and contractor billing.
- Conduct as-built surveys to verify completed works and prepare the necessary survey documentation.
2. Survey Data and Documentation
- Process field survey data and prepare survey plans, maps, sketches, and technical reports.
- Maintain accurate survey records, control point data, field notes, and survey computations.
- Prepare survey outputs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or other surveying software.
- Ensure that all survey records are properly filed and updated throughout the project.
3. Project Support
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project personnel regarding survey requirements.
- Provide survey data and technical support needed for planning, design, and construction activities.
- Assist in resolving survey-related issues encountered during construction.
- Verify that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, elevations, and alignments.
4. Equipment and Quality
- Monitor the condition and accuracy of surveying equipment and coordinate calibration or verification of instruments as needed to ensure reliable and precise survey results.
- Regularly check survey control points and construction layouts to minimize errors.
- Review survey data for accuracy and immediately report any discrepancies that may affect project implementation.
- Follow company procedures, project specifications, and applicable surveying standards during all survey activities.
5. Other Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide survey crews during field operations.
- Observe all safety rules and company policies while working on site.
- Perform other surveying-related duties that may be assigned by the Project Manager or immediate superior.
- Prepare, review, and process survey plans and related technical documents required for submission to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other government agencies.
- Prepare, sign, and seal lot plans, survey plans, technical descriptions, and other survey documents as required for project implementation, regulatory approvals, and land titling, in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.
- Coordinate with the DENR, the Land Registration Authority (LRA), Registry of Deeds, and other concerned agencies to facilitate the approval of survey plans and the issuance of land titles.
- Ensure that all survey plans, subdivision plans, and technical descriptions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and DENR requirements.
- Monitor the status of survey plan approvals and titling applications, and address any comments or deficiencies raised by the concerned government agencies.
