Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a Senior Level Designer to join our fully remote team. You will own the design and construction of engaging, readable, and strategically rich spaces that support core mechanics, combat and movement systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional Level Design experience, hands-on experience with UE5 or Unity, a strong portfolio, and the ability to collaborate with cross-discipline teams to iterate quickly from concept to final blockout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Level Design experience.
• Experience with UE5 and/or Unity.
• Strong portfolio of shipped or playable level work from professional projects.
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor junior teammates.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-discipline teams and iterate quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop maps, arenas, objectives and combat spaces from concept to final blockout.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to plan and create level content.
• Present and pitch ideas to internal and external teams.
• Iterate based on playtest data and team feedback.
• Ensure level flow, sightlines, cover and traversal support gameplay integrity.
