Escape Velocity Entertainment Inc is seeking a Senior AI Designer to join our fully remote team. You will design, prototype, and iterate AI systems, enemies, and NPCs for a high-mobility action game, collaborating with designers and engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in game design or AI development, expertise in Unreal Engine, blueprint scripting, and AI behaviour trees, plus strong communication and a background in game programming or design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game design or AI game development experience.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine or AAA game engines.
• Senior-level skills in blueprint scripting and AI behaviour trees.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Background or education in game design or programming.

Responsibilities

• Create exciting new enemies for a high-mobility action game.
• Create design specs and technical documents.
• Collaborate on NPC creation, scripting, and behaviour trees.
• Plan future work with producers and identify dependencies.
• Analyze user data, feedback, and heatmaps to understand AI function and changes needed.
• Pitch detailed new AI designs to leads and directors.
