Job summary

4impact Philippines is seeking a skilled Java automation engineer to build and maintain automated regression suites for migration decks. You will work on REST, SOAP, Kafka, and database surfaces, ensuring green pipelines through to cutover.

You will verify services with WireMock, XAWS, and modern test tooling, contribute to framework improvements, and support BAU handover. Strong Java/JUnit5 and CI/CD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Java and JUnit 5 experience.
• REST-assured and Spring-WS with WS-Security.
• Kafka with Confluent Schema Registry.
• Awaitility, WireMock, XMLUnit usage for verifications.
• SQL/NoSQL assertions using JdbcTemplate / MongoTemplate.
• Maven, Docker and GitLab CI proficiency.
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants to accelerate scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Develop per-deck automated regression suites against REST, SOAP, Kafka and database surfaces.
• Build service-virtualization stubs from captured back-end responses and verify the service calls.
• Verify via WireMock's journal that calls are correct (count, content, headers, order).
• Keep CI runs stable and produce Allure/JUnit reporting; maintain/refactor suites as contracts evolve.
• Investigate failures and triage defects vs tests vs environment.
• Contribute to framework improvements and BAU handover.
• Execute and run the test cases; analyze systems to create test scenarios.
• Perform manual testing checks for non-automatable scenarios if needed.
