Job summary

4impact in Manila is seeking a skilled automation engineer to build automated regression suites for migrations, leveraging REST, SOAP, and Kafka across databases. You will create service-virtualization stubs, validate calls, and keep CI pipelines green with Allure/JUnit reporting.

Expect hands-on work with WireMock, XMLUnit, and Confluent Schema Registry, plus AI-assisted scaffolding to accelerate test generation and framework improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong Java and JUnit 5 expertise.
• REST-assured (REST/JSON) and Spring-WS + Apache WSS4J (SOAP with WS-Security).
• Spring-Kafka with Confluent Schema Registry; Awaitility; WireMock; XMLUnit.
• SQL/NoSQL assertions (Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB) via JdbcTemplate / MongoTemplate.
• Maven, Docker and GitLab CI.
• Proficiency with a generative-AI coding assistant to accelerate scenario generation, stub building and scaffolding.
• Allure / JUnit XML reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop per-deck automated regression suites against REST, SOAP, Kafka and database surfaces.
• Build service-virtualization stubs from captured back-end responses and verify the service calls.
• Verify via WireMock's request journal that the service made the correct call to Sabre with proper headers and content.
• Keep CI runs stable; produce Allure / JUnit reporting; maintain and refactor suites as contracts evolve.
• Investigate failures and triage defect vs test vs environment.
• Contribute to framework improvements and the BAU handover.
• Execute and run the test cases; analyze systems and create test scenarios from requirements.
