Job summary

ING Hubs Philippines is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to evolve our HALO platform, a critical service used across ING's apps. You will design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade Java applications in an agile environment, focusing on security, stability, and performance.

You will build Spring Boot microservices, contribute to platform modernization, and enable resilient integrations with REST, Kafka, and messaging systems, while driving automation and DevOps practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
• Strong background in Java application development.
• Experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Understanding of SDLC, coding standards, and IT risk controls.
• Experience supporting production systems and incident management activities.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team and help evolve our in-house developed platform, HALO, a critical service used by multiple applications and teams across ING.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, testing, enhancing, and supporting modern enterprise applications while ensuring security, stability, performance, and operational excellence. Working within an agile environment, you'll collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and platform teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value.
