ING Hubs Philippines is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer (Salesforce Path) to build scalable backend services and Salesforce integrations within a global engineering squad. You will design, develop, and deliver reliable, secure banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven Salesforce development experience including Apex, integrations, and APIs.
• Strong Java development experience (Java 8+; Java 11+ preferred).
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong RESTful API design and development skills.
• Solid object-oriented design, design patterns, testing, and code quality.
• Version control experience, e.g., Git.
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for automated testing.
• Good communication and stakeholder management in Agile environments.
• Nice to have: Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.

Role Summary

As a Backend Engineer (Salesforce Path), you will be part of a cross-functional, product-focused engineering squad responsible for building and enhancing scalable backend solutions and Salesforce integrations.

You will design and develop high-quality services, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the globe, and help deliver reliable, secure, and customer-centric banking solutions. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about software engineering and want to combine Salesforce expertise with modern backend development practices.

Required Skills

Must Have

• Proven experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, integrations, and Salesforce APIs
• Strong Java development experience (Java 8+, Java 11+ preferred)
• Experience working with Spring and Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Experience with software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design, design patterns, testing, and code quality
• Experience with Git or other version control tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II Certification
