Job summary

Lokal is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to work closely with Engineering leaders, translating technology priorities into people actions. This role is an individual contributor with end-to-end ownership of the people agenda for engineering, focusing on organisation design, talent planning and performance management.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of HRBP experience, with strong partnering experience with engineering teams, and MBA/PGDM in HR.

Qualifications

5-8 years of progressive HR experience with meaningful HRBP ownership.
Prior experience partnering with Engineering, Technology, SaaS or Product Engineering teams is strongly preferred.
Strong business acumen and curiosity - ability to understand how the business operates rather than approaching problems only through an HR lens.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with engineering leaders to understand priorities, operating plans and organisational challenges, and translate them into clear people priorities.
Diagnose issues using data and challenge constructively to drive actions to closure.
Own the effectiveness of performance management and development actions for the engineering org.
Coach managers on feedback, difficult conversations, and team dynamics to strengthen people management capabilities.
Identify recurring leadership gaps and recommend interventions to improve organisational health.
