Job summary

Astek is seeking a hands-on Senior Golang Backend Engineer to develop and scale a cloud-native EV charging platform. You will design backend services, APIs, and distributed workflows with a focus on reliability, performance, and production readiness.

You will collaborate with product, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, implement Kafka-based event streams, and ensure robust deployments on AWS or Azure, using Docker and Kubernetes in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

• Production-grade Golang applications experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong concurrency and distributed-systems knowledge.
• SQL proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Experience with Kafka and event streams.
• Cloud deployments on AWS or Azure.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with high-traffic, real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Golang.
• Build event-driven workflows for distributed systems.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with DevOps on cloud deployments and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Own features from development through production.
