Job summary

Evotym is seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to transform a Java-based test automation environment into Golang. The role is fully remote, with responsibilities spanning design, development, migration, and collaboration across QA, Backend, and DevOps teams.

You will shape architecture, improve reliability, and drive the migration to modern testing infrastructure. The candidate will work independently, own delivery, and communicate effectively in English and Russian, contributing to a scalable

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in Golang at Senior Engineer level.
• Hands-on experience developing test automation infrastructure, testing frameworks, or internal engineering tools.
• Experience with Java and the ability to understand and work with an existing Java codebase.
• Experience migrating, modernising, or redesigning backend systems or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, backend systems, and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of delivery.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Russian.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the Java-based test automation infrastructure and transform it into Golang.
• Design, develop, and maintain reliable test infrastructure using Golang.
• Migrate or replace existing Java components as required.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and define the technical approach for the migration.
• Ensure stability of testing processes during migration.
• Integrate new infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and development environment.
• Collaborate with QA, Backend, and DevOps engineers.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of the infrastructure.
• Write clear technical documentation and follow engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned technical areas from analysis to implementation.
