Job summary

MStar Innovation, a FinTech company operating in Mexico, is seeking a Sr. Accounting Analyst to own accounting operations across assigned entities and portfolios.

This role goes beyond transactions and centers on month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance in Mexico, while guiding junior team members. Ideal candidates blend solid accounting fundamentals with analytical thinking, autonomy, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in financial services, FinTech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience reviewing or supervising junior accountants.

Responsibilities

• Manage, reconcile, and review assigned bank accounts daily and monthly.
• Oversee and review accounts payable transactions and fixed assets.
• Record and process payroll payments in coordination with HR.
• Record collections, early payments, and pay-off transactions.
• Perform portfolio-level reconciliations between loan management system and the General Ledger.
• Review journal entries prepared by junior analysts for accuracy and documentation.
