Job summary

Samsung C&T Philippines, Corp. seeks a Business Development Officer to expand its energy portfolio in the Philippines.

The role targets sourcing, evaluating, and securing high-value utility-scale power projects across Solar, Pumped Storage, Geothermal, and other renewables while coordinating with HQ engineering teams. The candidate should bring 5+ years in GenCos, EPC/IPP contexts, and strong knowledge of IPP structures, PPAs, and project finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years with GenCos, Renewable energy developers, or EPC/IPP firms.
• Experience on the developer side of power assets is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of IPP structures, project finance, and PPAs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure strategic business opportunities in the Philippine energy sector.
• Monitor DOE bidding tracks and GenCo asset expansion plans.
• Review technical specs, PPAs, PSAs, and EPC bidding books.
• Coordinate bids for renewable energy tenders and partnerships.
• Develop relationships with IPPs, utilities, agencies, and partners.
• Assess commercial feasibility, land/concession security, and JV frameworks.
