Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to provide expert advice and support across the business on ER matters. You will act as a trusted consultant to leaders, facilitating disciplinary cases while minimizing legal risk and elevating ER standards across teams.

In this role you will build strong relationships with HR, Legal, and business units, lead complex ER projects, mentor junior staff, and design communications on policies.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in Employee Relations or Industrial Relations in insurance, BPO or finance
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Legal Management or related law field
• Skilled in managing conflict and negotiations; mediation abilities
• Knowledge of PH labor laws and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints and resolve employee relations issues with guidance to minimize liability
• Counsel and train management on performance management and disciplinary issues
• Develop relationships between HR, Legal and business areas for ER issues
• Design communications related to employee policies and programs
• Lead severance actions in supported areas
• Utilize ER data in Salesforce to identify trends and drive improvements
• Mentor junior ER staff and support cross-team projects
• Other duties as assigned
