Job summary

International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Philippines is establishing a roster of qualified candidates to bolster emergency health response operations during disasters and health crises. Selected candidates will support health projects with government partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors, and may be mobilized as needed.

Applicants should emphasize experience in health emergencies, coordination with health authorities, and capacity-building of local staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field; five years of relevant experience; or a High School diploma with seven years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate emergency health response projects per work plans and donor requirements.
• Monitor public health information to inform project planning and decision-making.
• Monitor budget utilization and maintain records of approved budgets.
• Coordinate health response project activities with health authorities and partners.
• Plan and facilitate capacity-building for government counterparts and local staff.
• Represent project in meetings with government units, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, briefings, donor reports, and documentation with timely, high quality outputs.
• Document best practices and contribute to SOPs and proposals.
• Supervise and mentor project staff, supporting professional development.
• Perform other duties to support emergency health activities.
