Job summary

International Organization for Migration in the Philippines is establishing a roster of candidates to support surge staffing for emergency health responses. The role focuses on leading health interventions, coordinating with government and partners, and reporting on progress and finances.

Candidates should have health-related degrees and field experience in humanitarian settings. Successful applicants will work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, supporting disaster and health emergencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma with 7 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and coordinate the implementation of emergency health response projects according to work plans and donor requirements.
• Research, monitor and analyse public health emergencies and humanitarian developments to inform project decisions.
• Monitor project budget utilization and maintain records of expenditures and revisions.
• Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical aspects of health projects per IOM policies and standards.
• Plan and facilitate capacity-building activities for government counterparts and health workers.
• Represent the project in coordination meetings with health authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and donors.
• Prepare reports, briefing notes, donor reports, and other project documentation.
• Document good practices and contribute to SOPs and technical guidance.
• Supervise and mentor project staff to ensure effective implementation.
• Perform other duties to support emergency health response objectives.
