Job summary

Qualifications

• Education options with four years of relevant professional experience or a high school diploma with six years’ experience.
• Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
• Experience liaising with government authorities, UN agencies and NGOs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of emergency response activities.
• Compile, analyse, and present information on disaster impacts and humanitarian needs.
• Monitor project budget implementation and resource utilization.
• Serve as focal point for administrative coordination of emergency response activities.
• Prepare situation reports, updates, and progress reports; identify challenges.
• Draft correspondence, donor reports, briefs, dashboards and maps.
• Organize coordination meetings, simulations, trainings, and capacity-building.
• Respond to complex information requests and maintain project records.
• Participate in inter-agency coordination mechanisms and technical groups.
• Monitor implementation by partners; ensure compliance with agreements and donor requirements.
• Contribute to SOPs, contingency plans, and after-action reviews.
• Provides guidance/training and may supervise other staff in the unit.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
