For the purposes of this vacancy, internal candidates are defined as staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded or ungraded contract, including Junior Professional Officers (JPOs), staff on Special Leave Without Pay (SLWOP), UN Volunteers with at least twelve (12) months of continuous service in IOM, and staff members on secondment/loan released by the Organization, unless otherwise specified in their contract. Staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded contract will not retain their contract type if appointed to an ungraded position.
This Call for Applications aims to establish a roster of qualified candidates who may be mobilized to support the Mission’s surge staffing requirements during disasters, emergencies, and other humanitarian response operations. Please note that there is currently no confirmed start date or immediate deployment opportunity associated with this roster. The engagement of roster members will depend on operational requirements, the nature and scale of emergency responses, funding and budget availability, and the Mission’s staffing needs. Candidates who submit an application acknowledge their interest in being considered for future emergency response assignments and are expected to maintain their availability should their services be required. If selected for deployment or engagement, roster members must be locally available and be prepared to promptly complete all necessary onboarding, documentation, and administrative requirements within the prescribed timeframe. Required Qualifications and Experience
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). For this position, Filipino and other local languages in the Philippines are desirable. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
