Job summary

JD Power is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Europe remote team. You will understand pricing drivers for vehicles, build and deploy ML models, and deliver production-ready analytics on an AWS-based data platform.

The role emphasizes transparency and impactful data products for automotive pricing insights. You will lead end-to-end data science projects, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and contribute to the development of scalable analytics that power next-generation

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a Graduate degree, including 4+ years of working with large datasets.
• 4+ years of working with statistical programming software (Python/Spark preferred, R and SAS are a strong plus)
• 4+ years of working with database software (MS SQL, Snowflake, or MySQL)

Responsibilities

• Immersing yourself daily in automotive industry data
• Building and deploying advanced AI/ML and classical regression models
• Conducting advanced model evaluation and optimization
• Documenting machine learning processes
• Leading and managing complex end-to-end data science projects
• Collaborating with technology and engineering teams to improve processes and build new ones
• Working with the product team to power new analytics-driven products
• Applying feature engineering and AI/ML model building expertise
• Leveraging Python/R and SQL for data manipulation
• Creating visual reports in Tableau for internal and external clients
• Sharing ideas to build the best predictive algorithms
• Conducting ad-hoc data analysis and reporting
